简要介绍:

Valerie Voon is an internationally renowned neuropsychiatrist. She is a Distinguished Professor at Fudan University and a Professor at the University of Cambridge and also has a highly prestigious Medical Research Council Senior Fellowship. Her research identifies modifiable biomarkers underlying self-control and repetitive behaviours relevant to daily decision making and disorders of addictions and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her interventional psychiatry group is inherently translational focussed on the optimization of surgical and non-invasive neuromodulation for neuropsychiatric disorders and more recently exploring the role of psychedelics as a therapeutic modality. Her group uses multiple modalities including cognitive neuroscience, computational modelling, neuroimaging, intracranial physiology, neuromodulation and pharmacological challenges. She has over 200 peer-reviewed papers including in high impact journals (Neuron, Lancet Neurology, Molecular Psychiatry, Biological Psychiatry, Brain) and has been awarded in excess of £5 million funding from various funders including MRC, WT, NIH, NIHR, NSFC. Her work has high impact with almost 30,000 citations (H-index 80).
